From August 19 to 21, Hue Central Hospital hosted the 2nd International Thalassemia Conference, gathering 25 international delegates from 12 countries along with over 200 domestic doctors and experts.

Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital announced on August 17th that, as part of its international cooperation activities, the university had partnered with the US-based Operation International (OI) and DCA to provide free screening and surgery for patients with cleft lip and palate.

On June 11th, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with ReSurge International, completed a program providing surgery for maxillofacial deformities, cleft lip and palate, and craniofacial abnormalities, combined with professional training for doctors at the hospital’s Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The activity was organized by Hue Central Hospital in coordination with Da Nang Charity Group for disadvantaged pediatric patients receiving treatment at the hospital on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st.

The “Surgical Patient Care” training course for nurses and midwives from across the hospital and related healthcare facilities is taking place from May 6 to 15. The program aims to update and standardize knowledge and skills in caring for surgical patients, while also enhancing the professional capacity of healthcare workers.

Hue Central Hospital has successfully performed six organ transplants from a brain-dead donor, bringing life-saving and restorative opportunities to six critically ill patients. This achievement not only affirms the high level of expertise of the hospital’s medical team but also profoundly spreads the humanitarian value of organ and tissue donation within the community.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.

On March 17 and 18, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with Nuoy Reconstructive International (the USA), organized a reconstructive plastic surgery program, providing treatment opportunities for many patients with maxillofacial deformities while opening up prospects for international cooperation in specialized healthcare.
