Comprehensive examination and consultation for 80 patients with cleft lip and cleft palate
HNN.VN - On June 29 and 30, the Odonto - Stomatology Center at Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Smile Train Vietnam, organized a comprehensive examination and consultation program for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.

A total of 80 patients with cleft lip and cleft palate from provinces and cities across the country registered for the program. Patients were examined directly by specialist doctors, who assessed their post-treatment condition and provided consultations on the most appropriate intervention for each case.
In addition to receiving free examination and consultation, patients were also provided with partial travel support. For those who meet the program’s criteria, financial assistance may be offered for surgery and orthodontic treatment, along with a long-term and continuous treatment roadmap tailored to each patient's stage of development.
Cleft lip and cleft palate are a relatively common congenital anomaly that affects patients’ ability to eat and speak, as well as their appearance and psychological well-being. Treatment typically spans multiple stages and requires coordination among several medical specialties, along with long-term collaboration between healthcare professionals and patients’ families.
