On January 28, the Provincial Youth Activity Center organized a program to experience the traditional Lunar New Year of Vietnam and South Korea, with the theme "Connecting Spring - Peaceful Tet (Lunar New Year)". On January 24, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Phan Ngoc Tho visited and presented gifts at some social protection facilities across the province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of 2024, the Year of the Dragon.

Alongside the whole country, this is when businesses, production facilities, supermarket systems, and markets... in the province are actively preparing goods to meet the shopping needs of the people at year end and the Lunar New Year of Dragon 2024.

Lunar New Year first day(s) is the peak period for tourism, which also marks the beginning of a new year. Currently, the provincial tourism sector, along with units and businesses are providing many services, ensuring interesting and safe experiences for visitors.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of the Hue Fine Arts Museum, announced on January 19th that the museum received nearly 60,000 visitors in 2023. Visitors were mainly attracted to Le Ba Dang and Diem Phung Thi art exhibitions. According to Ms. Trai, this figure represents a 40% increase compared to that of the year 2022.

Accordingly, 3 locations organizing high altitude fireworks to welcome the Lunar New Year 2024, the Year of Dragon include Hue City, Quang Dien and Phu Vang districts.

Many difficulties and challenges notwithstanding, this year's fishery is identified as the year of achieving remarkable results with a total output of more than 41 thousand tons.

At the end of 2023, a reputable American travel magazine proposed Hue as one of the must-visit destinations in Asia that tourists should not miss in their 2024 travel itinerary. Furthermore, this is also the year when tourism in Hue received numerous prestigious awards of the world.
