New Year's Eve, the moment of transition between the old year and the new, always evokes a multitude of emotions for everyone. Numerous traditional cultural activities and festivities take place everywhere, bringing the vibrant atmosphere of Tet and the arrival of spring.

Along with Kien Trung Palace, Thai Hoa Palace, a palace with the largest and most beautiful wooden architecture of Hue Imperial Citadel, has also been opened by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to welcome visitors on the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024.

In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, Hue City becomes extremely bustling as flowers appear everywhere.

Alongside the significant programs and activities that have been taking place in the city to create a joyful and bustling atmosphere to welcome the Lunar New Year of Dragon, Hue City focuses on embellishing the streets to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year), with the highlight of the 2024 Spring Festival stretching from the south bank of the Perfume River to parks and green spots in the city.

Having worked in Ho Chi Minh City for 10 years and being at the peak of his career, Nguyen Duc Tung, Director of X10 Digital Company, chose to return to Hue with the dream of building a “creative factory” in his homeland.

On February 3rd, the organizing committee of the 2024 Tet Hue program held a competition for displaying New Year’s Eve offering trays and the exhibition space for the Tet five-fruit trays, traditional Hue cakes, and Tet flower vases.

To sell and serve the customers for the 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon, flowers from the South, the North, and even from the suburban flower-growing areas of Hue are being transferred to Hue central area by traders.

The pair of giant dragons – the mascot of the Year of the Dragon are being crafted amidst the curiosity of both locals and tourists. The pair of these dragons are placed in the large yard opposite the entrance of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted on Le Loi street., Hue City.

According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, this Lunar New Year, the Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion, a cultural destination of the heritage of Hue Ancient Capital, is put back into operation as a stopover for visitors from all over the world, after a period of closure.

Hue is an area with many regional specialties. The end of the year is an opportunity for these products to be more widely known in the market. Many stores selling agricultural and local specialties recently have also displayed products and specialties of the region for the Tet holiday.
