Within the framework of an agreement in the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” to “Practicing plastic reduction in the tourism sector", contributing to turning Hue into a plastic-reducing urban area by 2024, Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association on February 28 held a ceremony to announce the action plan to reduce plastic waste of seven units in doing hotel business in Hue City, including Villa Hue, Azerai La Résidence Hue, Melia Vinpearl Hue, EMM Hue, Muong Thanh Hue, Alba Spa Hue, and Thanh Lich.

On the morning of February 5th, the Organizing Committee of Tet Hue 2024 program held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes to units and localities.

On January 10, the Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Vietjet Air, KX Group (South Korea), SMC Hue Co., Ltd. The Diamond Status is a prestigious award from the World Stroke Organization that Hue Central Hospital has been awarded for the first time in early December. This is also the highest award status of the World Stroke Organization for stroke units and stroke centers, which satisfy strict criteria for shortening time of emergency revascularization, screening for causes, and appropriate stroke prophylaxis.

Along with the departure of a direct flight from Hue to South Korea, on August 1, the Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, SMC Hue Co., Ltd (South Korea), Phu Bai International Airport; the Provincial Tourism Association, and related units to welcome the first direct flight, connecting Thua Thien Hue with Seoul City (South Korea). This is also the first flight from Incheon International Airport (South Korea) to the new terminal of Phu Bai International Airport.

On the morning of July 2, the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Tourism to coordinate with Vietjet Air, Phu Bai International Airport, and other relevant units to welcome the first international flight by Vietjet Air to Terminal 2 - Phu Bai International Airport.

On the morning of June 3, Hue City People's Committee cooperated with the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) and Vietsoftpro Joint Stock Company and related units to organize a cycling event in response to World Bicycle Day (June 3) and to receive sponsored bicycles for Hue Smart Bike project.
