Recognizing the contributions of the education sector to the cause of “nurturing future generations”

Permanent Deputy Secretary Pham Duc Tien of Hue City Party Committee visited and presented flowers to congratulate the leaders and staff of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

At the meeting, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee recognized and highly appreciated the long-standing traditions and significant contributions of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in training high-quality medical human resources for the city and the country. He emphasized that in order to continue developing to its full potential in the new period, the university needs to focus on consolidating its organizational structure in line with the merger plans; while continuously improving professional qualifications, the quality of training, and scientific research. The university should also continue promoting solidarity, building a strong and comprehensive collective in all aspects; and proactively report and discuss difficulties and obstacles with the City Party Committee and the City People’s Committee for timely resolution.

He also requested that the university place greater emphasis on training and developing new Party members, as well as improving the quality of Party organizations and Party members.

On this occasion, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a seminar to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. The university leaders reviewed the tradition of respecting teachers and expressed gratitude to generations of educators who have devoted themselves to training high-quality medical professionals for the Central - Central Highlands region and the entire country. The seminar was also an opportunity for the university to recognize and commend groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 academic year, including: 1 individual awarded the Second-Class Labor Order, 3 individuals receiving Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and 19 individuals receiving Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training...

The university also honored 2 newly appointed professors, 10 newly appointed associate professors, and 8 new PhD holders recognized in 2025; as well as 19 individuals and 3 groups with outstanding achievements in scientific and technological research in 2025.

On the same day, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Chi Tai visited and congratulated the teaching staff at the University of Education, Hue University, and the Hue Major Seminary.

At the Major Seminary, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Chi Tai shared information about the city’s notable achievements in socio-economic development, as well as the impacts of the recent floods. He emphasized the city’s decisive direction in disaster response, recovery efforts, ensuring social welfare, and effectively operating the two-tier government model. The Deputy Secretary expressed his hope that the Hue Major Seminary would continue to uphold its traditions, improve teaching quality, and maintain close coordination with local authorities in social welfare activities, accompanying the city’s development.

On behalf of the Major Seminary, Priest Nguyen Van Hao sincerely thanked the city authorities for their attention and expressed hope that Hue would achieve sustainable and remarkable development thanks to its unique cultural heritage potential.

At the University of Education, Hue University, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Chi Tai offered congratulations to the lecturers and acknowledged the school’s important role in training teachers and high-quality human resources for the Central - Central Highlands region. Nguyen Chi Tai emphasized the implementation of Resolution 57 on science, technology, and innovation, and Resolution 71 on education and training, considering them pillars for Hue to become a regional center of education, science, and technology. The city is committed to accompanying the university, creating favorable conditions for it to leverage its strengths, improve facilities, promote research, transfer knowledge, and align training with local development needs.

The University of Education also held a ceremony marking the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Ho Son, Rector of the University of Education, Hue University, expressed deep gratitude to generations of teachers who have contributed to building and developing the 68-year-old institution.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the University of Education, Hue University recorded many notable results: its organizational structure was strengthened; the quality of its teaching staff continued to improve; admissions reached over 2.178 new students with entrance scores among the highest nationwide units. International cooperation activities and scientific research continued to yield practical benefits, and the living standards of staff saw clear improvement.

On this occasion, the school also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to 5 individuals for outstanding achievements in 2023 and 2024, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 5 individuals for outstanding achievements during 2019-2024. In addition, the school presented Talent Encouragement Fund awards to individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 academic year.
