Phu Xuan receives over 200 units of blood during the voluntary blood donation festival
HNN.VN - On September 18, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Phu Xuan Ward, in collaboration with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center (Hue Central Hospital) organized the first session of the Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2025.

With the message “Each drop of blood given - A life saved”, the program attracted nearly 250 volunteers. As a result, the organizers received 211 units of blood, with donations ranging from 250ml to 350ml per person. This was a valuable source of blood, promptly replenishing the blood bank to support emergency care and patient treatment.
Mr. Nguyen Ho Cong, Vice Chairman of Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee and Head of the Ward’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation stated that from now until the end of 2025, the ward will continue to organize 2 more blood donation drives, striving to mobilize over 1,000 participants. He added: “To spread this noble act, the ward will strengthen communication and encourage union members, association members, officials, civil servants, and residents to actively join in”.
The voluntary blood donation movement in Phu Xuan Ward has generated a positive impact and received strong support from local residents. Each unit of donated blood not only saves patients’ lives but also reflects a humanitarian act, a spirit of sharing and solidarity within the community, contributing to building the image of a compassionate and caring locality.
