According to an information released by the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, following a period of exterior and interior renovations to passenger carriages on Hue - Da Nang route of the “Connecting Central Heritage” train, the upgraded train will officially debut on March 26, 2026.

The first charter flight is expected in late March or April 2026, with Hue and its Korean partners planning to launch the inaugural Hue-South Korea charter flight in 2026, followed by efforts to establish regular scheduled service.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism released on the morning of March 1, the number of tourists to Hue in the first two months continued to rise sharply, estimated at over 1.2 million arrivals, while the number of visitors to the city in February, 2026 alone witnessed an increase of nearly 72%. Especially, the total revenue from tourism rose significantly compared to the previous year.

During their spring outings, beyond visiting heritage sites and familiar attractions, many travelers to Hue have chosen a distinctive way to experience Tet: seeking out traditional craft spaces, personally experiencing hands-on activities, and creating handmade products imbued with the rich cultural identity of Hue Ancient Capital.

On the morning of January 1, the Department of Tourism organized a ceremony to welcome the first flight and tourists to Hue by air at Phu Bai International Airport, and a ceremony to welcome the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue by sea at Chan May Port.

It contributed to creating a strong recovery after a period of stagnation, clearly highlighting the city’s role as the host of 2025 National Tourism Year.

According to statistics, the number of visitors to Hue in the first 9 months reached nearly 5 million arrivals, witnessing an increase of nearly 63% compared to the same period. This is truly good news for Hue as the city hosts the National Tourism Year for the second time.

Hai Van Frontier Post officially opened for visitors from August 1st, 2024. Up to now, it has become an important destination for visitors visiting Hue and Da Nang.
