Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 Program Attracts about 48,000 Tourist Arrivals

HNN.VN - After 4 days of taking place from July 23 to 26, the program Hue - Culinary Capital 2026, which was held under the theme ‘The Day of Hue Beef Noodle’, attracted about 48,000 tourist arrivals and generated an estimated revenue of about 12 billion VND.

Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 concluded on the evening of July 26. According to Mr. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of the Department of Tourism, the four-day event welcomed an estimated 48,000 visitors who came to explore and experience the festival, generating approximately VND 12 billion in tourism revenue.

Staged on a larger scale, Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 attracted large crowds of residents and tourists. Featuring 80 stalls, the program brought together various restaurants, eateries, businesses, traditional craft villages, culinary artisans, and chefs’ associations from Hue, along with those from Hanoi, Nghe An, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Quang Tri, Danang, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai and Ho Chi Minh City…

Alongside a series of artistic performances, one of the program’s highlights was the National Hue Beef Noodle Festival, which brought together outstanding culinary artisans, chefs, and Hue beef noodle businesses from across the country to honor the traditional craft and promote the cultural value of the iconic dish.

The program also featured a record for ‘The event of processing and demonstrating Hue Beef Noodle serving the largest number of people to enjoy at the same time’, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Hue’s rich culinary heritage through the Hue - Culinary Capital program.

Another highlight was the show ‘Hue Beef Noodle - The Legend of Van Cu and Huong Ngu Symphony’, which vividly recounted the story of Van Cu, the traditional noodle-making village, and traced the origins and evolution of Hue beef noodle soup, highlighting the dish’s close association in the culture of the Ancient Capital.

According to the leader of the Department of Tourism, the program proceeded smoothly overall. Its success is expected to contribute to preserving and promoting Hue’s culinary heritage while gradually positioning Hue Beef Noodle as a signature cultural and tourism product, reinforcing its standing on the national and international culinary maps. This can be seen as an opportunity to further promote Hue as a unique cultural, tourism, and culinary destination, supporting the city’s efforts to develop high-quality, sustainable tourism rooted in its rich cultural identity.
