On the evening of May 30th, at A Luoi 2 Commune, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports officially opened the first “Mountain Ethnic Groups Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival" 2026.

As part of the 1st Festival of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ethnic Groups in Mountainous Areas, on the morning of May 30, the Highland Culinary Festival and Traditional Cooking Contest officially launched at A Luoi 2 Commune Market.

From the evening of May 29 to May 31, 2026, the first “Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of mountainous ethnic groups” is being held in the communes, namely A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, and A Luoi 3.

On January 19, according to the information released by the Department of Tourism, Hue City was named “Domestic Destination of 2025” as part of the HOTLIST Travellive Editor’s Pick - an annual prestigious program launched and organized by Travellive Media Group to honor outstanding brands, destinations, and individuals for their positive contributions to the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

From early 2026, in addition to maintaining current ticket prices, Hue City will significantly expand the groups eligible for free and discounted entrance fees to heritage sites within the Hue Complex of Monuments. The move aims to facilitate access to heritage for residents and students, and to promote sustainable tourism demand.

The 2025 National Youth Age Group Pickleball Championship kicked off on the morning of August 9th at the Pickleball courts of Hue College of Industry. This tournament is part of the national competition system.
