Hue has been honored as “Domestic Destination of 2025”

HNN.VN - On January 19, according to the information released by the Department of Tourism, Hue City was named “Domestic Destination of 2025” as part of the HOTLIST Travellive Editor’s Pick - an annual prestigious program launched and organized by Travellive Media Group to honor outstanding brands, destinations, and individuals for their positive contributions to the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

HOTLIST is a curated selection based on professional perspectives, reflecting the market’s values at each point in time. The evaluation process is conducted rigorously, combining expert assessments from a prestigious advisory council comprising both domestic and international members. The final results are based on criteria that include quality, innovation, social impact, and sustainable development potential.

In 2024, HOTLIST 2024 made a strong impact on the tourism, service, and hospitality community by introducing 40 brands and 12 inspirational figures across 28 categories, spanning the fields of hotels and resorts, destinations, technology, and experiential innovations.

This year, HOTLIST 2025 expands into new areas of the tourism industry, featuring 7 categories: Hospitality (accommodation and hotel services); Aviation; Travel Design & Experiences; Destination; Technology & Innovations; Sustainability; and Community Projects & Voices. Each category aims to identify outstanding individuals and brands that play a guiding role in shaping the future development of Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality industry.

According to the organizing committee, in the category of “Domestic Destination of 2025”, there are 3 destinations being honored: Hue City, Quang Ninh Province, and Ho Chi Minh City. These destinations stood out for their remarkable impressions in 2025.

The honoring ceremony will take place on the night of the Gala Honor Ceremony - HOTLIST 2025 (on the night of January 19, 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Travellive Media Group originated as a specialized travel magazine in Vietnam. It was established in 2023 and published in both Vietnamese and English. For the HOTLIST program, the evaluation council comprises Vietnamese experts with long experience in the tourism sector.
