Diverse activities at the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of mountainous ethnic groups

HNN.VN - From the evening of May 29 to May 31, 2026, the first “Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of mountainous ethnic groups” is being held in the communes, namely A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, and A Luoi 3.

The festival is a large-scale event aimed at honoring, preserving, and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities living in the city.

Organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the People's Committees of highland communes and wards, the event has attracted the participation of 11 localities, including: A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4, A Luoi 5, Long Quang, Nam Dong, Khe Tre, Hung Loc, Binh Dien, and Phong Dien. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 PM on May 30 at A Luoi 2 Commune Ethnic Cultural Center and Square.

The event features a range of activities such as a mass art festival with folk songs, folk dances, folk music, solo and ensemble performances of ethnic musical instruments, gong performances, and traditional costume performances; these are to praise the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the cause of building and developing Hue City and the localities.

An exhibition and demonstration space for traditional handicrafts at the A Luoi 2 Commune Ethnic Cultural Center and Square will showcase and introduce traditional handicraft products and unique OCOP products of highland ethnic communities, as well as demonstrations of local traditional crafts…

The First Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of mountainous ethnic groups 2026 is not only a meaningful cultural and recreational event for ethnic communities, but also an important catalyst for boosting tourism, honoring the national unity among ethnic groups, and driving sustainable socio-economic development in mountainous areas.
