Various activities to feature at Festival of Mountainous Ethnic Groups

HNN.VN - The first “Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Mountainous Ethnic Groups” of Hue City in 2026 is part of the “Summer Festival” program of Hue Festival 2026. It is held periodically and rotates among localities where ethnic minority communities settle and live.

The festival brings together localities in the city where ethnic minority communities live, including A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4, A Luoi 5, Long Quang, Nam Dong, Khe Tre, Hung Loc, Binh Dien, and Phong Dien Ward.

The event features a range of activities such as a mass art festival with folk songs, folk music, folk dances, and ethnic costume performances; exhibitions of traditional handicraft products, OCOP products, and photo displays showcasing activities of the localities; sports competitions; culinary contests; and tourism promotion and introduction programs…

According to the Organization Board, the festival aims to contribute to promoting movements such as “All People Unite to Build a Cultural Life,” the new rural development program, and the campaign “All People Exercise Following the Example of the great President Ho Chi Minh.” It also seeks to effectively implement resolutions related to cultural development… Through these activities, the festival is expected to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen solidarity, and promote cultural exchange among mountainous ethnic groups in Hue City, thereby contributing to honoring, preserving, and promoting their distinctive traditional cultural values, as well as introducing and promoting tourism potential.
