Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.

On December 5 and 6, at the Provincial Continuing Education Center, the Provincial Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, organized a training session on teaching safe swimming skills and preventing drowning in students.

On July 15, the Provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs collaborated with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports to organize the opening ceremony of a professional training course for swimming and diving instructors in the area, under the project “Prevention of child drowning in 2024”.

It has been several decades since fishermen in Ngu Dien Sea (Phong Dien, Thua Thien Hue) have witnessed shoals of scads, herring, shrimp... swimming to the shore. The inshore sea is reviving!

Along with walking, many Hue people are choosing swimming as a sport, both to relax and to practice and improve their health.

That is the confident statement of many students after completing a free-swimming class organized by the Chi Thien Fund for Children this summer. Sharing with Thua Thien Hue Weekend about the idea of implementing the Free-Swimming Program, Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy, Director of Chi Thien Fund for Children, Chief Representative of Taiwan’s Zhi-Shan Foundation in Vietnam, shared:
