The activity was launched within the framework of the project “Support for effective and sustainable interventions for child drowning prevention in Hue City in 2025”, sponsored by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (USA).

According to the plan, in 2025, Hue City Child Drowning Prevention Project Coordination Board will organize 88 free safe swimming classes for 1,440 children aged 6 to 15, in 6 communes and wards, including: My Thuong, Phu Vinh, Phu Vang, Hung Loc, Loc An, and Phu Loc. Additionally, the project will carry out various communication activities, training sessions, workshops, and competitions to raise community awareness, enhance drowning prevention skills, and support the development of a sustainable model for child protection.

Organizing the safe swimming class in Phu Loc Commune is of practical significance, contributing to equipping students with necessary life skills, preventing and reducing drowning accidents, and creating a healthy and safe environment for physical activity and recreation for children in the area.
