2025 City Age-Group Swimming Championship officially kicks off

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 27, 2025 Hue City Age-Group Swimming Championship opened at the City Sports Center swimming pool (No. 2 Le Quy Don Street). The event is co-organized by the Department of Culture & Sports and the City Youth Union.

This year’s tournament has attracted over 300 athletes from 40 teams representing swimming clubs, primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools in the city area, competing for 52 sets of medals.

Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan, Director of the City Sports Center said that in addition to assessing skill levels and selecting outstanding athletes for further training and supplementing the city’s team, the championship also aims to promote swimming as a regular practice, thereby improving health, enhancing self-protection, and helping prevent drowning accidents.

According to the schedule, the tournament is set to conclude on September 28; however, due to weather conditions, the events will be accelerated to finish this afternoon (September 27).
