On July 11th, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee of Luxembourg Projects to review project progress and provide directions and planning for the upcoming period. Co-chairing the meeting was Thomas Lammar, Temporary Representative of the Embassy of Luxembourg in Laos.

To develop the city towards the sea and foster regional links, Hue City has, in addition to effectively implementing its master plans, prioritized attracting and investing in major projects to complete its infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, from central urban areas to satellite urban areas.

On June 23, the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) had just held the award ceremony for the 4th National Urban Planning Awards.

With a keen sense for crop transformation, Mr. Truong Minh Toan (Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phu Loc district) boldly chose to cultivate Bo Chinh ginseng, a “demanding” plant but one full of promise.

On the 10-acre field of red chiem rice (a traditional red rice grown in brackish lowlands of Hue City, sown by April and harvested by July), each planting season requires 40 to 50 hired laborers, and the harvest stretches over several days. Left untended and unfertilized, the rice grows naturally under the generous sun and rain. Some call it “heaven’s rice” — a variety grown from the grace of Tam Giang’s waters.

After more than four years of planning, preparation, and dedicated passion, Hue Culinary Association was officially launched on the evening of May 28. The initiative aims to build and elevate the culinary culture of Hue City, living up to its reputation as the “Culinary Capital of Vietnam.”

With more than 25 years of collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Prof. Satoh Shigeru, a leading expert in the field of landscape study and urban planning at Institute of Urban and Regional Studies, Waseda University in Japan, has made many interesting discoveries about the mountain-water landscape in Hue. Ho Dac Cung, a young Hue native raised in Cai Lay, Tien Giang, developed a passion for engine mechanics and, through self-teaching, built his own airplane. In 1935, faced with financial constraints, he wrote to Emperor Bao Dai seeking assistance and received the monarch’s approval.

As part of the plan to organize the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the spring festival - “Spring of the Ancient Capital” has many unique programs and activities. Not only are there festival activities in the city center, but in the land on the majestic Truong Son mountain range, the “Spring Colors of A Luoi Highlands” festival would create more highlights and impressions for visitors to Hue this March.
