On the afternoon of March 27th, more than 150 entrepreneurs and businesses in the city participated in “Vietnam’s Economy and Policies in the New Context: Solutions for Businesses” seminar, updating economic trends and exploring adaptive strategies for the new phase.

On the morning of March 6, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Institution for Strategy and Policy Studies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized a workshop to solicit feedback from central and local departments, agencies, experts, and businesses. The consultation was held to complete the Project on Industrial Development of Hue City for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision toward 2045.

On the morning of February 23, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee held a conference to evaluate the situation before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026; and to review adjustments of Hue City’s Master Plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050, to meet the development requirements in the new phase.

Hue City’s budget revenue is entering a phase of strong momentum, with a revenue structure becoming increasingly diversified and sustainable. Alongside traditional sources such as textiles and garments, beer production and tourism, the rapid growth of industrial sectors is opening up significant new drivers for local budget growth.

During his visit to Hue in early November 2025, General Secretary To Lam conveyed a message to the city’s Party Committee, authorities, and people: Hue must preserve its cultural identity and the distinctive character of Hue people amid a new phase of development. That reminder was not merely an expectation, but a guiding orientation for the entire term.

On the morning of December 22, a workshop was held in Hue City to launch the mission “Promoting human resource management for Vietnamese healthcare system, focusing on HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention and control”. The workshop aimed to finalize the plans, content, and implementation methods for scientific and technological tasks in the new phase, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of local healthcare system.

The development of the labor market is not only linked with social welfare but also serves as a pillar for sustainable growth. Hue City is focusing on investing in resources, at the same time expanding employment opportunities, and accompanying businesses and workers in the new phase.

On August 13, the Department of Science and Technology held a conference titled “Orientation for solutions to develop an Innovative Startup Ecosystem in Hue City in the New Phase”. The event was held to foster the work of discussing, sharing, and offering solutions to agree on ways to promote local innovative startup ecosystem, helping it overcome challenges and reach new heights.

On May 27th, Cotana Capital Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company held the inauguration and handover ceremony of the W2 - West Sky apartment building, part of phase 2 of the Thuy Van Complex, located in Zone B of the An Van Duong new urban area (Ecogarden), Thuy Van Ward, Thuan Hoa District.

Hue Digital Transformation Week 2023, with the theme “Generating Digital Data - Accelerating Regional Connectivity,” is expected to unveil strategies for a new phase of digital transformation (DT) in Thua Thien Hue.
