Signing of cooperation agreement with Pacific Construction Group, promoting urban infrastructure development

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of April 7, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held at the City People's Committee Office between Hue City People's Committee and the Pacific Construction Group (China), marking a new phase of cooperation in attracting investment and developing urban infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the City People's Committee, emphasized that the signing of the MoU is a significant milestone. It not only strengthens the cooperative relationship between the two sides, but also opens up new development opportunities for the city in the coming period.

Notably, the Group has proposed to explore and implement several key transport infrastructure projects, including: the La Son - Chan May Port Expressway, the Ring Road 2, and the Ring Road 3. These projects are of significance in enhancing regional connectivity, reducing inner-city traffic pressure, and expanding development space.

“The successful implementation of these projects will create momentum for infrastructure development, contributing to realizing the goal of building Hue into a modern and sustainably developed city founded on culture and heritage,” affirmed the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

According to the MoU, both sides agreed to cooperate in researching, proposing, and implementing urban and transport infrastructure development projects; urban upgrading and expansion; as well as coordinating in education, healthcare, and other socio-economic sectors. The focus will be on large-scale infrastructure projects aimed at creating new growth engines for the city.

As a centrally-governed municipality since 2025, Hue aims to become a major and unique regional hub for culture, tourism, and specialized healthcare, as well as a national center for science, technology, and high-quality education. The city leader affirmed that the city will provide all favorable conditions regarding mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedures to ensure the prompt and effective implementation of cooperative projects.

The signing of the MoU with the Pacific Construction Group is expected to lay an important foundation for accelerating large-scale infrastructure projects in the coming time, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Hue while enhancing its position on the international investment map.
