On the morning of August 28, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), in collaboration with Quang Tri Province People’s Committee and Hue People’s Committee, officially launched the ‘Phong Nha - Hue Imperial City: A World Heritage Journey’ tourist train at Dong Hoi Railway Station. Later that day, Hue City welcomed the train and held a ceremony to mark its arrival.

The exhibition, through the language of photography, aims to strengthen Hue City's cultural diplomacy and expand cooperation with diplomatic missions of ASEAN countries in Vietnam. It will also help promote Hue as a heritage city and a distinctive Festival City of Vietnam, as well as an attractive cultural and tourism destination in the Central region. ​

On the morning of August 21st, Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, opened the 14th Annual Hue Scientific Conference on Cancer Prevention and Control. The conference brought together more than 600 delegates, including over 30 international experts, speakers and lecturers, to exchange professional expertise and provide updates on the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

On the afternoon of August 9th, at Lieu Quan Hue Buddhist Cultural Centre, Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations, in collaboration with Lieu Quan Hue Buddhist Cultural Centre and the family of Nguyen Phan, a late painter, opened the exhibition ‘Nguyen Phan: Echoes of Returning Home’.

Visiting ‘Hue Beef Noodle Soup Day’ as part of the ‘Hue - Culinary Capital 2026’ program, I am reminded of Miss Noodle from folk legend and the late, famous American chef Anthony Bourdain.

On the late afternoon of July 24, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, organized the National Bun bo Hue Festival. A decade ago, Kimura Brazilian Jiujitsu Hue was merely a grassroots martial arts club with a few dozen practitioners training for fitness and self-defense. Few could have predicted that this very club would become the backbone of the Hue City Jujitsu team, later clinching numerous titles in both continental and global arenas.
