The construction of Ring Road 3 will begin in September 2025, marking a major milestone in Hue City’s urban transportation infrastructure development strategy. Far more than a conventional road project, this route is seen as a catalyst for expanding urban space, creating strategic land reserves, attracting investment, and improving quality of life for local residents.

To develop the city towards the sea and foster regional links, Hue City has, in addition to effectively implementing its master plans, prioritized attracting and investing in major projects to complete its infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, from central urban areas to satellite urban areas.

Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.

Bridges connecting sea and traversing lagoons are constructed not only to finalize the inter-regional transportation infrastructure system but also to promote the development of coastal cities and satellite towns, fostering socioeconomic growth and improving the quality of life for residents.

The intense competition among domestic tourism destinations and the increasing demand of visitors require further investment in infrastructure and modernization of destinations, including high-end infrastructure and accommodation services.

Despite its abundant potential, river tourism in Hue remains underdeveloped, lagging behind its available natural resources. The lack of services, transport infrastructure, and collaboration in river tourism development have all posed significant barriers, preventing this sector from thriving.

With the goal of gradually improving infrastructure to pave the way for becoming a centrally-governed city, Hue City has been implementing many large-scale projects while accelerating the progress of constructions to ensure they are completed and come into operation by 2025.

With the goal of building environmentally friendly Green Transport infrastructure, in line with the overall economic development orientation of the province in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, on June 14, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Gbike Co., Ltd. (South Korea) signed a cooperation agreement to implement a green transport project in the relic area to exploit and promote the values of Hue relics.

In a recent exchange highlighting the province's efforts to focus on infrastructure development, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the goal of investing in infrastructure, particularly in ports, industrial zones, and customs-free zones, to serve production and business development.

In creating a new facade for urban areas, beyond beautification, investment in infrastructure, commerce, services, and improving the quality of urban life... transport infrastructure is also a key element in connecting and contributing to making Thua Thien Hue soon become a centrally-governed city.
