From April 1 - 3, a delegation from the Command of Hue City Border Guard, led by Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the City Border Guard, visited and extended traditional Bunpimay New Year greetings to the Military Commands and Police Departments of Sekong and Salavan provinces (Lao People's Democratic Republic).

On the morning of March 5, Hue City held the 2026 military enlistment and handover ceremony at 5 locations across the city. Despite drizzle and unfavorable weather conditions, the events were conducted solemnly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations, thanks to thorough preparation, ensuring absolute safety. All young men who had been called up for military service and service in the force of the City People’s Public Security enthusiastically set out to fulfill their sacred duty of defending the Fatherland.

Amid the complex developments of the Nipah virus outbreak, on the morning of February 24th, when the international cruise ship Adora Mediterranea docked at Chan May Port, the international health quarantine force under Hue Center for Disease Control (CDC Hue) implemented monitoring and inspection procedures to ensure epidemic prevention and control.

Alongside their efforts to help trees sprout and flowers bloom across the nation’s borderlands, the Border Guard force has been nurturing a vibrant spring in the hearts of the people.

The year 2026 opens the 2026–2030 period, marked by increasingly fierce competition to attract resources, talent, and visitors, while Hue cannot pursue rapid urbanization or heavy industry. On December 23, at Hue City Police, Emulation Group No. 2 of the Ministry of Public Security held the opening ceremony for a Sports Festival celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Staff Force Traditional Day (April 18, 1946 - April 18, 2026).

In recent days, the mindset of “Preservation for Development” and “Development grounded in Heritage” has become increasingly evident in Hue City’s strategy. Heritage is identified as one of the essential pillars for sustainable tourism development, serving as a driving force for balanced and inclusive socio-economic development.

Over the two days of December 11 and 12, Hue City mobilized forces and vehicles to implement peak period patrol, inspection, and control to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; while also assessing the national defense and security situation in the city's waters.

People say that after days submerged in floodwater, when the water recedes, the ground is left with a dull, gloomy gray.
