Long Quang: Timely support for residents repairing tornado-damaged homes

HNN.VN - On May 16, leaders of Long Quang Commune promptly visited, encouraged residents, and deployed forces to help 4 households in Rung Ghenh Village re-roof their homes and clean up gardens damaged by the tornado.

Earlier, on the afternoon of May 15, heavy rain accompanied by a strong tornado hit Rung Ghenh Village, Long Quang Commune, causing damage to houses, trees, and gardens. The house of Mr. Ta Ruong Danh had its roof completely blown off, while the houses of Mr. Nguyen Van Huoc, Mr. Ho Van Hiu, and Mrs. Pham Thi Mar suffered minor damage. Many trees, crops, and gardens in the area were also uprooted or damaged, affecting the residents’ daily lives and production activities.

On the morning of May 16, the Commune Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Quang Commune directly visited and encouraged the affected households. At the same time, they directed the Long Quang Commune Military Command to mobilize forces to help the residents overcome the consequences, repair their houses, and soon stabilize their lives.

The timely care and support from the local authorities demonstrated their sense of responsibility and their sharing of the difficulties faced by the People, contributing to the promotion of the spirit of unity and mutual support in the community.
