On the morning of October 17, the People’s Committee of Phong Phu Ward, in collaboration with NextX Future Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City), held a training session aimed at enhancing the digital technology skills of nearly 50 local households, aquaculture facility owners, and businesses involved in black tiger shrimp farming. ​

On the afternoon of August 28th, at Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian path (Thuan Hoa Ward), Hue City Farmers’ Association held the opening of the 2025 Agricultural Fair to introduce and promote outstanding agricultural products, OCOP products, and local specialties to residents and visitors.

Giving up a stable job in Da Nang City, Tran Huu Tri (born in 1995), from Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phuc Loc district (now part of Khe Tre commune), decided to return to his hometown to start a business with a farmstay model that combines organic farming and experiential tourism.

The mountainous areas of A Luoi and Nam Dong (now Phu Loc District) possess a year-round supply of clean, naturally flowing water, making them an ideal environment for sturgeon farming. Capitalizing on this advantage, the local Agricultural Extension Center (AEC) implemented the “Application of Science and Technology to Develop a Sturgeon Nursery and Farming Model Based on the Value Chain in Mountainous Communes of Hue City” project, with the goal of successfully applying scientific and technological advances to sturgeon nursery and farming within a value chain framework.

With the belief that scientific research must be practical and embraced by the people, each project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thi Bich Phuong is a product closely tied to farmers and businesses. Many of her scientific topics and projects that benefits the people have brought her prestigious awards.

With a modern agricultural mindset and diligent, hardworking hands, Mr. Phan Lai Duc, a member of the Elderly Association in Quang Vinh Commune (Quang Dien District), has transformed the white sandy land into an organic farming and livestock ranch generating billions in revenue.

After traveling to work in various places, the couple A Viet May and A Viet Thi Mai decided to return to their hometown to invest in livestock farming and production. Their herd of pigs grew, their rice fields turned green, and the house became lively again with the sounds of family members' voices and laughter.

On the afternoon of July 27th, the Provincial Farmers' Union, in coordination with the People's Committee of Hue City, organized the opening of the first Highland Market Fair in Hue City in 2024.

On July 20th, the provincial Red Cross Society, Oxfam in Vietnam, and the New Zealand Embassy in Hanoi organized a summary workshop for the project “Post-COVID-19 livelihood recovery for female farmers in particularly difficult and for difficult communes in Thua Thien Hue.” The event was attended by Ms. Caroline Rachel Beresford, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam.

Located approximately 4km northwest of the center of A Luoi district, along the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the eco-tourism area of A Nor (Hong Kim commune) has now transformed into a vibrant homestay and farm stay hub in the highlands.
