On May 27th, Cotana Capital Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company held the inauguration and handover ceremony of the W2 - West Sky apartment building, part of phase 2 of the Thuy Van Complex, located in Zone B of the An Van Duong new urban area (Ecogarden), Thuy Van Ward, Thuan Hoa District.

With the determination of becoming one of the leading smart cities in Vietnam, Hue is making lots of progress in digital transformation, from developing its digital economy to raising the quality of life for its people, opening up many opportunities for sustainable development.

During her trip to Hue, Ms. Sandrine, a French tourist, and her group were amazed by how green the city was. With admiration, she asked: “What has enabled Hue to balance economic development with heritage and natural resource preservation?”

According to the report of 2024 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) released by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) recently, Hue City made a strong impression by entering the top 10 localities with the best economic governance quality in the country, scoring a total of 71.13 points, ranking 6th out of 63 provinces and cities.

The O Lau Upriver ecotourism site (Ham Heo) is located in Phong My Commune, Phong Dien Town, approximately 45 km northwest of Hue City center.

“Enterprises make a significant contribution to the economy. Therefore, in its development orientation, Hue City consistently focuses on creating an environment that fosters and promotes business growth,” shared Mr. Phan Quoc Son, Deputy Director of Hue City’s Department of Finance, with Hue Today Weekly.

On the morning of April 26th, the People’s Committee of Phong My Commune, Phong Dien Town, officially launched the O Lau Upriver Ecotourism Site (Ham Heo). This community tourism site was previously recognized by the provincial government under Decision No. 954/QD-UBND dated March 28th, 2021.

After the country was reunified, the Pioneering Youth force transitioned to a new mission: overcoming the consequences of war and contributing to economic development. In response to the revolutionary call at that time, Binh Tri Thien Province and Hue City established two Pioneering Youth regiments tasked with surveying, building roads, clearing land, and constructing homes to welcome thousands of families from Hue to settle in the southern regions and establish new Hue communities far from home. On the morning of April 19, Hue University held an inaugurating ceremony and put into operation the Library of the University of Economics, Hue University.

The beauty and extent of Hue’s coastline is undeniable. According to many economic experts, if Hue knows how to exploit and expand these spaces, it will significantly increase the state’s budget revenue.
