"Studying the values of cultural landscapes of Hue heritage and the surrounding areas in order to preserve and promote the values of the Complex of Hue Monuments" is the topic of an international seminar held on August 9.

With numerous precious artifacts, the Museum space of Ethnology - Archeology (belonging to the Faculty of History, University of Sciences, Hue University) is not only a place for students to carry out research and study but also an ideal destination attracting interests of cultural and research circles in Hue.

Along with supporting the restoration of Hue heritage, experts from the German Society for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage also strive to pass on love and understanding of heritage to local people, especially the younger generation.

“Nang” is the name of an exhibition of Truc Chi at Danang Museum of Fine Arts on July 14th organized by Vietnam Truc Chi, Ltd. This exhibition is the beginning for a series of exhibitions marking the 10th year since Truc Chi came into being together with “Tham” in Hanoi and “Hop” in Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time. On this occasion, we had a talk with Mrs. Ngo Dinh Bao Vi, director, about the 10-year-long journey of Truc Chi.

Ao Dai, no matter how beautiful and culturally significant it is, must also incorporate fashion elements and be adapted to fit the modern era in order to remain relevant. How can we attract the attention of the young generation to the traditional Ao Dai, so they will wear it proudly and honor its beauty and cultural heritage? "Dó" is the dó paper, which is considered the "dawn" of paper types and applications in Hue. “Gone with the dó”, which also means “Gone with the paper”, or “Let the paper blow it away”. The "blowing away" is not washing away and dissolving, but intertwining and forming the strength of Hue cultural spirit, with a traditional handicraft product, which is safe for the environment…

Collecting antiques is not a mere hobby. Young people also learn from antique collection the historical and cultural values. Antiquities made with different materials and techniques over hundreds or thousands of years are like a journey back to the past that fascinates young people.

The newly-launched Hue Heritage Conservation Fund will supplement resources for the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage in the province.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Hue Monuments Complex and 20 years of Hue royal court music being honored by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage, Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the University of Fine Arts - Hue University organizes the exhibition "Hue royal performance through fine art" (taking place from June 16 to 26) to honor the beauty of intangible heritage.

Located in the central part of Vietnam, Hue is an ideal destination to learn about history, culture, and long-standing traditional values. Once the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty for many centuries, Hue, despite various upheavals, has still preserved its ancient features, monumental architectural works, and sophisticated, beautiful artworks with special historical-cultural values.
