Cultural connection in schools

TTH.VN - Under the guidance of Quoc Hoc Hue Cooperation and Public relations Club (The Mosaic), students from various places have had the opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. This has been a meaningful occasion for students from different schools to explore a new learning environment, while also creating opportunities for cultural connection, experience, and sharing.

In February, students from Hanoi Olympia School had the chance to visit Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted during a meaningful cultural exchange and visit. The friends from Hanoi not only learned about the history and architecture of the over-100-year-old school, but also immersed themselves in the vibrant activities organized by the Mosaic Club. The enthusiasm of “tour guides” from the Mosaic brought memorable experiences to the visit, from stories about the school and Hue to cultural performances and folk games associated with the Ancient Capital's culture.

For many Olympia students, the moment they stepped into the campus of Quoc Hoc Hue amidst the blooming cherry blossoms was an unforgettable impression. The rows of trees covered in light pink hues beside the French-influenced architecture created a scene that was both ancient and poetic. “The school not only is beautiful but also carries a proud historical depth. I really enjoyed listening to the stories about Quoc Hoc Hue, interacting, and making new friends,” shared Nguyen Nam Anh, a student from Hanoi Olympia School.

The Mosaic Club was established in 2024 with the desire to connect Quoc Hoc Hue students with friends from all over places. Thanks to the support of the School Board and the Youth Union, the club regularly welcomes student delegations from high schools across the country for visits. Whenever a delegation arrives, the club members survey the number of students, plan the content of the tour, and organize exchange activities. “We take them to visit the tradition room, the playground area, the football field, and the classrooms... and introduce the unique features of each location, from architecture to history,” said Cai Ngo Gia Nghi, Head of the Mosaic Club.

To convey the story of Quoc Hoc Hue fully, members of the Mosaic Club always take time to research and share materials about the school and Hue. Each person filters the information to provide visitors with accurate and attractive presentations.

Not only does it bring exciting experiences to students from other places, but the Mosaic Club’s members also have the opportunity to learn from their new friends. Through these conversations, they learn more about the culture of each region, the way that clubs from other schools operate, and share learning methods with each other...

Such exchanges not only help connect students between schools, but also provide valuable lessons for the Mosaic’s members. “When we first joined the club, many of us were shy and hesitant to speak in front of a crowd. But by participating in leading tours, we gradually became more confident and fluent in communication. We also learned how to work in teams and coordinate smoothly to organize activities,” added Gia Nghi.
