On the afternoon of September 24, a delegation from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission had a working meeting with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to discuss the preservation and promotion of Hue’s cultural heritage, traditional performing arts, and the application of science and technology in heritage digitalization.

As part of activities promoting the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, on September 5, in Hue, the Vietnam - Japan Center for Cultural and Educational Cooperation Promotion (VJCE) coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka to organize the Vietnam - Japan Education Exchange and Cooperation Program 2026.

On August 19 and September 2, Vietnamese citizens will be granted free admission to heritage sites managed by Hue Monuments Conservation Center. The initiative offers an opportunity for visitors to explore Hue’s heritage during the public holidays, while gaining deeper understanding of the historical and cultural values of the Ancient Capital.

Many valuable archival materials of the Nguyen Dynasty, as well as Hue’s historic structures and rituals, remain scattered across museums, archival centers, and private collections abroad. Through international cooperation and connections with researchers and cultural organizations, Hue is working to bring these archival resources home to support the restoration, conservation, and reconstruction of its heritage.

Cultural industries, based on knowledge, creativity, identity, and technology, are emerging as one of the key growth drivers for many nations. In this context, placing culture at the center of development strategy - as expressed in the spirit of Resolution 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture - is not merely a political orientation but an inevitable imperative of the era. ​

After graduating with a law degree and working in Hanoi for some time, Ho Thuong Liu (born in 1993) decided to return to A Luoi 1 Commune to start his own business. Drawing on the A Lin Stream that was part of his childhood, he developed a community-based tourism model centered on stilt houses, local cuisine, and the cultural traditions of the Bru - Van Kieu people. From a once-pristine and lesser-known destination, A Lin Stream has gradually attracted visitors, contributing to the livelihoods of local residents in the highlands.

The exhibition and demonstration of traditional crafts, held at the Ethnic Cultural Center of A Luoi 2 Commune, offered visitors vivid and authentic cultural experiences.

The “Imprints of Hue Buddhist Heritage” exhibition, part of a series of activities celebrating Vesak 2570 of the Buddhist calendar (2026 Gregorian calendar), officially opened on the afternoon of May 24 at Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center (15A Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).

In the context of a heritage city that is gradually affirming its position as a distinctive cultural center of the country, the development of reading culture in Hue is no longer a purely promotional issue. Instead, it has become a strategic matter, closely associated with human quality, endogenous strength, and the city’s vision for sustainable development.

On the afternoon of April 24, at the Nguyen Dynasty’s Privy Council (Co Mat Vien - Tam Toa), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held an online signing ceremony for a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with the Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Museum (France), opening an additional channel to access international archival resources for heritage conservation.
