On the afternoon of October 12th, at the Sports and Cultural Center Stadium of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City), the Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with Vietnam University and Professional Sports Association and Hue University and Professional Sports Association, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Men Student Football Tournament - TV360 Cup, Central Region.

On the evening of October 6th, at the historic Imperial Treasury Residence inside Hue Imperial City, Hue Monuments Conservation Center hosted the program “Hue Royal Mid-Autumn Festival 2025”, one of the cultural highlights of Hue Festival 2025.

Recently, the Center for Tourism Information and Promotion under Hue City Department of Tourism, in collaboration with 4LLIN Co., Ltd. and Aeon Mall Hue, organized a conference to introduce the “Cultural and Artistic Experiential Tourism in Hue City” project. According to Director of Hue City Department of Tourism – Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, this is a new tourism project, with plans to be held regularly at Aeon Mall Hue.

Hue culture with its typical characteristics of the land is portrayed through many unique cultural values such as cuisine, clothing, garden house architecture, education, music, theater, language, and poetry. These values have become great potential for Hue to become an important tourist center of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Through an interdisciplinary approach involving cultural anthropology, sociology, linguistics, and heritage studies, the project “Core elements that create Hue’s identity, a distinctive land in Vietnamese culture - once the Imperial Capital, a center of culture - religion - arts, and a symbol of deep-rooted traditions” seeks to clarify the role and value of Hue’s identity within the broader national culture. At the same time, it suggests directions for sustainable preservation and promotion in the context of modernization and globalization.

On the afternoon of August 11, Hue City Party Committee, People’s Council - People’s Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City held a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day of All People Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) at the City Cultural - Cinema Center.

The exhibition with the theme “The Journey of 80 Years to Independence - Freedom - Happiness” will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center in Hanoi. Hue City will bring to the event a display space rich in Hue’s identity and cultural characteristics.

On the afternoon of July 25, the Information Center for Tourism Promotion, Hue City Department of Tourism collaborated with 4LLIN Co., Ltd. and AEON MALL Hue Shopping Center organized a conference to introduce the tourism product “Cultural and Artistic Experience Tourism in Hue City.”

“Up to now, nearly 200 works and items within the Complex of Hue Monuments have been preserved, restored, and renovated, with a total expense of over 2.000 billion VND. This work has always strictly complied with the regulations of the 1972 World Heritage Convention, UNESCO guidelines, and the Law on Cultural Heritage of Vietnam, ensuring authenticity, integrity, and adaptability to the harsh climate conditions of the Central region of Vietnam, etc.,”. These details were shared by Hue Monuments Conservation Center to Mr. Lazare Eloundou, Director of UNESCO Cultural Heritage Center during his visit and working trip in Vietnam at the end of May.

Noticeable was the opening of the oil painting exhibition by Hoang Nhu Thuy An at Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center. Hoang Nhu Thuy An is Hoang Nhu Bua’s pseudonym, born in 1948, originally from Cau Hai (Cao Do) in Phu Loc, Hue, but currently living in Da Lat. The special thing is that all those paintings were painted after his stroke culminating in hemiplegia. He has learnt to paint with his left hand since then.
