As part of activities promoting the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, on September 5, in Hue, the Vietnam - Japan Center for Cultural and Educational Cooperation Promotion (VJCE) coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka to organize the Vietnam - Japan Education Exchange and Cooperation Program 2026.

On the afternoon of August 10th, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang met with Ms. Dang Thi Thu Ha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Turkey, and Dr. Vu Le Thai Hoang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Republic of Austria.

By welcoming over 4.3 million tourist arrivals in the first 6 months, Hue tourism has reached robust growth. However, to meet its annual target and further increase tourism revenue, the industry needs to ramp up its efforts with a comprehensive set of coordinated solutions.

On July 11th, Vietnam's Ministry of Health, in coordination with Hue City People's Committee, Hue Central Hospital, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, organized a free health screening program for more than 1.000 residents in Binh Dien and Khe Tre communes. The initiative aims to bring high-quality healthcare services closer to local communities, strengthen primary healthcare, and advance the goal of comprehensive health management for the entire population.

On June 29 and 30, the Odonto - Stomatology Center at Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Smile Train Vietnam, organized a comprehensive examination and consultation program for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.

This was the theme of the 2026 Expanded Scientific and Technical Conference organized by University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hue University on June 20.

On the morning of June 16, Hue Central Hospital officially launched the 2026 “Comprehensive Orthodontics Training Course,” which aims at meeting the growing demand for updated knowledge and enhanced professional capacity among healthcare personnel working at medical facilities nationwide.

From May 18 to 20, at the City Stadium, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, organized the Athletics Championship for general education students in the city in 2026. The event took place on the occasion of the 136th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), contributing to promoting physical training movements, improving health, and enhancing the quality of comprehensive education for students across the city.

On the afternoon of April 9th, a delegation from Hue, led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, paid a visit, held working sessions, and extended Bunpimay New Year greetings in Salavan Province, Lao PDR.

On the morning of February 6, a delegation from the Ministry of Health, led by Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, visited and inspected the preparations to ensure medical services for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 at Hue Central Hospital. The visit aimed to comprehensively evaluate medical examination and treatment activities, emergency services, and the readiness to respond to medical situations that may arise during Tet.
