The six-month training program brings together 16 participants and is conducted under the academic supervision of Dr. Nguyen Hong Loi, Director of the Odonto-Stomatology Center at Hue Central Hospital.
The course is designed for specialists in odonto-stomatology as well as general practitioners holding appropriate medical licenses and professional certifications in accordance with current regulations. Combining theoretical instruction with intensive hands-on training, the curriculum enables participants to acquire advanced knowledge and modern techniques in the field of orthodontics.
Upon completion of the program, trainees will be equipped to diagnose, develop treatment plans, and manage various dentofacial abnormalities. They will also gain the ability to assess and formulate controlled treatment strategies for malocclusion cases. In addition, participants will receive practical training in the use of preventive, interceptive, and fixed orthodontic appliances through both model-based exercises and clinical practice.
As demand for oral healthcare, particularly for the treatment of dental and occlusal abnormalities, continues to rise, the development of a highly qualified orthodontic workforce has become increasingly important. The program not only provides physicians with access to the latest professional knowledge but also creates opportunities to strengthen practical skills, thereby contributing to improved healthcare quality at local medical facilities. The training course is part of broader efforts to enhance the quality of the healthcare workforce, advance the development of the odonto-stomatology specialty, and meet the evolving needs of public healthcare and protection in the new era.
