On the afternoon of April 6, Phu Son Waste Power Plant held an inauguration ceremony and put it into operation. Attending the ceremony was Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On the afternoon of April 3, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong hosted a courtesy reception for the US Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Marc E. Knapper. The courtesy reception was also attended by the representatives of leaders from relevant departments and branches.

On the morning of January 30th, the Organizing Committee of the “Tet Hue 2024” program held a press conference to provide information about the purpose, significance, and some activities within the framework of the Tet Hue 2024 program. On January 28, the Provincial Youth Activity Center organized a program to experience the traditional Lunar New Year of Vietnam and South Korea, with the theme "Connecting Spring - Peaceful Tet (Lunar New Year)". The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization.

On the evening of January 26th, 2024, the award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City took place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Hue City, being one of three cities representing Vietnam, proudly received this prestigious award. This is an award within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) held from January 22nd to 27th. The delegation from Hue City, led by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Vo Le Nhat, attended the award ceremony and participated in various activities of the forum.

On the afternoon of January 12th, at Duyet Thi Duong (Royal Theater), Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) organized a Report on feasible research on the investment in the project of restoring, renovating, and embellishing Can Chanh Palace. Attending were experts, cultural and historical researchers and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

On the morning of January 6, at the National Hero Memorial of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (An Tay Ward, Hue City), Hue City People's Committee held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 235th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s Coronation and dispatching army to defeat the Qing army. The ceremony was attended by representative leaders of the city, departments, branches, unions and people in the area.

On the occasion of a recent working trip to Hue and attending a conference themed “The modernization process in Hue and Central Vietnam during the French colonial period”, a delegation of experts and scientists from France and Japan had a visit and working session with Hue Monuments Conservation Center at Tang Thu Lau (Archive Pavilion).

As a part of a series of activities and events of the Winter Festival within the Four Season Festival - Hue Festival 2023, on the evening of December 15th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the “Wellness Tourism Week” event. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
