193 outstanding contestants compete at National Youth Informatics Contest

HNN.VN - ​On August 10th, the 31st National Youth Informatics Contest 2025 held its closing and award ceremony in Hue City. Attending the event were the Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, and Secretary of the Central Youth Union and Head of the Contest Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet.

Previously, on August 9th, the Final Round of the contest took place in Hue City, gathering 193 outstanding contestants from 24 provinces and cities nationwide. They competed across seven categories: Category A (Primary School), Category B (Secondary School), Category C1 (Specialized High School), Category C2 (Non-specialized High School), Category D1 (Creative Products for Primary School), Category D2 (Creative Products for Secondary School), and Category D3 (Creative Products for High School). Additionally, 86 contestants participated in the final round of the Expanded National Youth Informatics Contest on mathematical thinking and algorithmic thinking, competing in three categories: M1 (Primary School), M2 (Secondary School), and M3 (High School).

At the end of the competition, the Organization Board awarded a total of 142 prizes to outstanding contestants. Among them, the First prize went to six individuals/groups, each receiving the Creative Youth Badge, a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training, and a cash award. Second prizes, third prizes, and consolation prizes were also presented to other high-achieving contestants.

In addition, the Organization Board also awarded the overall first prize to the Hanoi group, the overall second prize to the Ninh Binh group, and the overall third prize to the An Giang group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet stated that the National Youth Informatics Contest has been a traditional activity jointly organized by the Central Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam Informatics Association for the past 31 years. To date, the contest remains one of the key activities promoting STEM education, helping students access logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through technology. This, he emphasized, is the foundation for them to become global citizens in the digital era.
