On February 28, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Department of Education and Training held the final round of the city-level English debating competition for high school students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The 22nd Central Region Age Group Western Chess and Chinese Chess tournament - 2026 opened on the afternoon of February 26 at 24 To Huu Street (Vy Da Ward, Hue City), attracting nearly 700 players from 16 units and localities across the country.

On February 25th, the Social Charity Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, in coordination with the Youth Union of the Party Agencies of Hue City, the People’s Committee of Long Quang Commune, and the Long Quang Commune Youth Union, organized a Lunar New Year “lucky money” and gift-giving program for students of Thuong Quang Primary School.

Efforts to attract international tourists via direct air routes to and from Phu Bai International Airport have long been on the agenda, yet significant obstacles remain. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, at noon on February 6th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, led a delegation of the City Party Committee to visit, offer incense in remembrance, and extend Tet greetings to veteran revolutionaries, former city leaders, and people with meritorious service to the revolution in the area.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on the evening of February 2, Hue City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City organized a Spring Reception to meet, congratulate, and express gratitude to diplomatic agencies, international organizations, investors, experts, and friends, who have partnered and cooperated with the locality over the past years.

On January 27th, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, together with representatives of city departments and agencies, received and worked with a high-level delegation from Vientiane Capital (Laos). The delegation was led by Comrade Tha Nong Xay Khut Phay Thun, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Head of the Investment Promotion and Economic Management Board of Vientiane Capital.

On the morning of January 22, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, together with leaders of relevant departments and agencies, held a working session with a delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and representatives of Luxembourg Development Cooperation.
