Hue Central Hospital launches 3.0 Tesla MRI System - SIGNA Pioneer

HNN.VN - On the morning of April 28th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to introduce the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - SIGNA Pioneer. Attendees included Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Council; Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee, along with representatives of various departments and agencies.

The SIGNA Pioneer 3.0 Tesla is a next-generation whole-body MRI system, capable of producing high-quality images, shortening scan times, and meeting diagnostic requirements for a wide range of complex conditions. The system can be applied in diagnosing neurological, cardiovascular, oncological, obstetric-gynecological, musculoskeletal, and vascular diseases; it also supports specialized needs such as whole-body cancer screening, stroke diagnosis, prostate evaluation, breast cancer detection, and other cases requiring high-resolution imaging.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, emphasized that the introduction of the 3.0 Tesla SIGNA Pioneer MRI system will not only enhance early detection and diagnostic accuracy but also effectively support personalized treatment for patients. It also serves as an important foundation for training, scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation in the field of diagnostic imaging.

The same morning, at Hue Central Hospital, representatives of the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh Province presented certificates of merit to three individuals from the hospital for their outstanding achievements in coordinating healthcare services for residents in Ha Tinh Province.

In recent years, Hue Central Hospital has strengthened regional cooperation, regularly dispatching specialists to support localities, including Ha Tinh. This collaboration has contributed to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, enabling residents to access advanced healthcare services locally.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People’s Committee, Dr. Pham Minh Duc, MSc., Director of Ha Tinh Department of Health, awarded certificates of merit to three individuals from Hue Central Hospital: Dr. Pham Nhu Vinh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the hospital; Dr. Pham Nhu Hien, MSc., Deputy Director of the Endoscopy Center; and Dr. Hoang Hai Phu MSc., physician at the Stroke Center.

This recognition honors the contributions of Hue Central Hospital’s medical staff in professional support, technology transfer, coordinated treatment, and their continued partnership with Ha Tinh health sector in caring for and protecting public health.

On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.
