Many valuable archival materials of the Nguyen Dynasty, as well as Hue’s historic structures and rituals, remain scattered across museums, archival centers, and private collections abroad. Through international cooperation and connections with researchers and cultural organizations, Hue is working to bring these archival resources home to support the restoration, conservation, and reconstruction of its heritage.

On the occasion of Vietnam’s Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026 (May 18), Hue city launched activities to honor outstanding scientists and present awards in science and technology competitions. On the afternoon of April 24, at the Nguyen Dynasty’s Privy Council (Co Mat Vien - Tam Toa), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held an online signing ceremony for a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with the Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Museum (France), opening an additional channel to access international archival resources for heritage conservation.

During this Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the community of Hue heritage enthusiasts receive good news. That is the comeback of the once-renowned lien lang Chuon (the Chuon village decorative scroll). On the afternoon of July 23rd , the Department of Science and Technology held a conference to evaluate the results of a non-state budget funded science and technology project titled: “Researching, expanding, developing, and harnessing the medicinal value of Abelmoschus Sagittifolius (Bo Chinh Ginseng), a valuable Vietnamese medicinal herb, to create a health-oriented material-products-gift set linked with scientific and cultural research in Hue City”, led by SBC Hoang Gia Co., Ltd.
