Launch of the “Song Huong - The convergence festival” literary essay contest
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of January 29, Song Huong Magazine launched the “Song Huong - The convergence festival” literary essay contest - 2026, aiming to spread the image of Hue during its new stage of development and seek out valuable literary works about the land and people of the Ancient Capital.

According to the Organizing Committee, the contest is held to encourage works about the country and people of Vietnam. Priority will be given to essays that capture the cultural depth, history, traditions, and contemporary rhythm of life in Hue…
Eligible participants are Vietnamese citizens living and working domestically or abroad, including overseas Vietnamese. Submitted works must belong to the genre of literary essays, be between 3,000 and no more than 7,000 words in length, composed in 2026, and must not have been previously published in any mass media outlets or on social media.
The Organizing Committee will accept submissions from January 29, 2026, to November 30, 2026. The closing and awarding ceremony is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2027.
This literary and artistic activity provides an additional creative platform for writers, journalists, and artists nationwide, with the expectation of creating widespread impact, promoting Hue’s image while discovering new talent and valuable works in the field of literature and arts.
