On the afternoon of June 24, the City People's Committee held its regular June meeting and a session to review the city's socio-economic performance during the first 6 months of 2026. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee.

On June 24th, Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station, in coordination with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Vinh Commune, organized the 2026 “Accompanying Fishermen in Going Offshore and Remaining at Sea to Safeguard National Maritime and Island Sovereignty” program.

On June 24, Hue City Women’s Union, in coordination with the city’s Forest Protection Department, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Small Grants Programme (SGP), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organized the program “The Cultural Colors of the Bru - Van Kieu People” in Phuc Loc Village, Hung Loc Commune.

On the afternoon of June 24, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan hosted a courtesy meeting with a delegation from Pacific Construction Group Co. Ltd., and Guotai Haitong Securities Co. Ltd., of China. The meeting was also attended by Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and units.

On June 23, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan chaired a meeting to review and finalize the medium-term public investment plan using state budget capital for the 2026 - 2030 period and assess the implementation and disbursement of public investment funds in 2026.

On the morning of June 23, the city’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights organized a conference on multi-stakeholder/inter-sectoral networking and advocacy between the Association and relevant agencies, units, mass organizations, schools, and communities, within the framework of the Project “Promoting child rights and adolescent reproductive health rights” for the 2026 - 2028 period.

On the afternoon of June 23, the Phu Xuan Ward Women's Union organized a cooking competition themed “Flavours of home - Connecting through love”, attracting more than 130 participants. The event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026).

Being nominated for “Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination” at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2026 can be considered an encouraging sign for the potential development of Vietnam’s cultural and tourism sectors.

On the evening of June 22, Hue Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus, and the Belarusian Tourism Industry Association, held an online seminar to connect and promote tourism connections between Hue City and Belarusian localities.
