On the afternoon of August 30th, in Hue City, Vietnam Haiku Poetry Club - Ancient Capital Hue branch held a gathering featuring poetry and music to mark the 80th National Day anniversary.

On the afternoon of August 26, at Ho Chi Minh Museum, Huong Giang Poetry Association of Hue City held a poetry and music program to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

Hue culture with its typical characteristics of the land is portrayed through many unique cultural values such as cuisine, clothing, garden house architecture, education, music, theater, language, and poetry. These values have become great potential for Hue to become an important tourist center of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Bringing cooking into poetry is something the people of old time once did. And I, drawing from the treasure trove of proverbs and folk verses my mother passed down, have learned many rustic yet profound lessons about cooking.

This is the theme of a talk aimed at spreading the cultural and spiritual values of the nation through poetry in the legacy of Emperor-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, presented interestingly by Mr. Nhat Chieu, the speaker and researcher. On the evening of February 11th, at No. 1 Phan Boi Chau street, the Full Moon Poetry Night - At Ty Spring 2025 took place, organized by Hue Writers’ Association.

On the afternoon of December 21st, Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Thua Thien Hue hosted a gathering of poetry clubs across the province at its headquarters.

On October 28, Mr. Tran Xuan Vinh, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Association of fellow-countrymen in Ho Chi Minh City said that the association held a poetry and music gala titled “Little love for Hue”, which raised 600 million VND to support community projects in hometown area.

At the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Awards, musician Le Quang Vu (born in 1968) with his Symphony Poetry “Green City along the Perfume River” won the A prize in the music category. That being said, he is also known by the musicians in particular and music lovers in general as the “conductor” of Hue Brass Orchestra.
