HNN.VN - On the morning of January 18th, Hue Poetry Association organized a program to review the Association’s activities in 2025 and to launch the poetry collection “Returning to the Land of Huong Ngu”. This was an opportunity to reflect on the previous year's events while also presenting to the public a brand-new poetry anthology, the product of the Association's numerous lively creative and poetic exchange activities.

In 2025, Hue Poetry Association effectively maintained and developed creative movements, poetry-music exchanges, and poetry recitation performances, while also organizing and co-organizing many meaningful cultural and artistic activities. A notable highlight was hosting the second Three-Region Poetry Festival in Hue under the theme “Returning to the Land of Huong Ngu”, which attracted a large number of poets, writers, artists, and poetry lovers from many provinces and cities nationwide. The event not only created an emotionally rich space for exchange but also contributed to promoting the image of Hue - the former imperial capital rich in cultural identity - in the National Tourism Year 2025.

Alongside movement-based activities, creative work and publishing continued to receive strong attention from the Association. The poetry anthology “Returning to the Land of Huong Ngu” was born from a creative campaign oriented toward Hue, drawing inspiration from two cultural and historical symbols: the Huong River and Ngu Mountain. The book selects 327 poems by 109 authors from various regions, reflecting diverse creative styles yet converging in a shared love for Hue, for the homeland, the country, and its people. This is the seventh anthology published by Hue Poetry Association, marking a continued step in its journey to preserve and spread the beauty of Hue poetry.

On this occasion, the Association also admitted several new members, commended members with active contributions in 2025, and awarded the commemorative medal “For the Hue Poetry Movement”.

Entering 2026, Hue Poetry Association aims to continue maintaining and improving the quality of creative and poetic exchange activities; placing emphasis on nurturing young creative forces; and expanding connections with poetry associations and clubs both within and beyond the locality. At the same time, the Association seeks to organize more activities connecting poetry with Hue’s cultural and tourism life, contributing to the spreading of literary and artistic values within the community.
