The program opened with members offering flowers to President Ho Chi Minh, expressing their deep respect and gratitude to the beloved leader. Following this, many authors and artists personally recited and performed new works and selected highlights, portraying love for the homeland, national pride, and gratitude toward generations who sacrificed for independence and freedom. The works such as National Day Remembering Uncle Ho (by Xuan Thu), Hue in Autumn (by Hoang Xuan Thao), Celebrating Independence Day (by Sen Hong), and Hue oi (by Nguyen Nghi), etc., left a profound impression on the audience, evoking both the heroic milestones of the nation and the simple beauty of the homeland.

On this occasion, the organizing committee announced the decision to merge the poetry sub-associations and admit new members, thereby strengthening the organization and fostering the continued growth of the city’s poetry movement. At the same time, 2 poetry collections, including Homeland and Mother by the poet Hoang Van Chuong and Tinh oi by the poet Than Trong Tuyen, were also introduced, offering new perspectives on the love for the country and people.

The event served as an occasion for members and poetry lovers to meet, exchange, and together spread the values of literature and art, while nurturing national pride in the atmosphere of the country’s great celebration.

You might suddenly meet a Hue girl on the street and ask her, ‘Is there anything new in Hue now?’ And immediately, or perhaps by chance, she will recite the two lines from a poem by Bui Giang: “Da thua xu Hue bay gio/ Van con nui Ngu ben bo song Huong” (“Yes, sir, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mount by the Huong river…”)
