On December 24, the National Excellent Student Selection Examination for the academic year 2025 - 2026 officially opened at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

On December 23, at Hue City Police, Emulation Group No. 2 of the Ministry of Public Security held the opening ceremony for a Sports Festival celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Staff Force Traditional Day (April 18, 1946 - April 18, 2026).

Hue’s transportation and urban infrastructure have undergone significant changes in recent times, with a series of large-scale key projects being invested in and implemented, opening up new connectivity spaces for the city.

On the morning of December 20, at Hue Central Hospital, Vietnam Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (VASLD), and Vietnamese Society of Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgery (VSHBPS), in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, held the opening ceremony of the 18th National Conference of VASLD & VSHBPS with the theme “Promotion of developing for technical progress”, and simultaneously launched the Minimally Invasive Treatment for HBP Chapter of VASLD.

On December 19, Hue Central Hospital held the opening ceremony for the 2025 Central Hospital Directors Club annual conference, themed “Hospital management thinking in the digital transformation era”.

On the evening of December 18, in Hue City, a ceremony was held to officially receive the national intangible cultural heritage title for folk knowledge related to Bun Bo Hue (Hue Beef Noodle Soup), alongside the opening of the International Culinary Festival “Hue - Culinary Capital”.

On the morning of December 14, the People's Committee of Phong Dinh Ward held the opening ceremony for the first Phong Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025, in preparation for Hue City Sports Festival in 2026.

On the afternoon of December 10, Hue City Fine Arts Association, in collaboration with the University of Arts, Hue University, organized the opening ceremony of the Fine Arts Exhibition celebrating the 74th anniversary of Vietnam Fine Arts Traditional Day (December 10, 1951 - December 10, 2025). The event attracted the participation of many artists and students.

The Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament of the 10th City Sports Festival 2025 - 2026 kicked off on the morning of December 6 at the Canh buom Gymnasium (100 Pham Van Dong - Vy Da Ward), attracting a large number of athletes and spectators to compete and cheer.

More than just a heritage city, Hue is increasingly becoming a “regional diffusion axis”, linking economic corridors and opening opportunities for cooperation and sustainable investment for the Central region.
