Having worked in Ho Chi Minh City for 10 years and being at the peak of his career, Nguyen Duc Tung, Director of X10 Digital Company, chose to return to Hue with the dream of building a “creative factory” in his homeland.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Provincial Department of Tourism, said that on the evening of January 26, within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), there was an award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Awards, taking place in Vientiane, Laos. The three cities representing Vietnam have been awarded (which will be effected from 2024 to 2026) namely: Hue (Thua Thien Hue Province), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), and Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh Province).

Being awarded the National Order of Merit, with the rank of Knight by the President of the French Republic, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Head of the Medical Francophone Office, Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University affirmed that this is a medal for everyone.

On the morning of January 6, at the National Hero Memorial of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (An Tay Ward, Hue City), Hue City People's Committee held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 235th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s Coronation and dispatching army to defeat the Qing army. At the Award Ceremony of "L'ORÉAL - UNESCO For the Development of Women in Science" in 2023, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung made an impression with her “typical Hue” image upon giving a presentation on the research topic relevant to the potential and application of endemic medicinal plants in Thua Thien Hue Province in supporting disease treatment for public health care. She was among three female scientists honored by L'ORÉAL - UNESCO in 2023.

Telling the story of an old lady from Hue with a philanthropic heart, young man Nguyen Duc Minh Hoang (Hue City) excellently surpassed more than 170 contestants nationwide to be awarded the First Prize in the 8th “Young Francophone Reporters 2023" contest.

With the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development", Hue Festival 2024 will include consecutive activities taking place throughout the year. The event aims to honor and promote the unique values of Vietnamese culture in general and Hue culture in particular.

Nguyen Minh Tai Loc, a 12th-grade student majoring in Physics at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Minister of Education and Training for his achievements at the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad.
