This is an annual award organized by Vietnam Digital Communications Association in collaboration with VietTimes e-magazine, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, to recognize organizations and individuals with outstanding contributions to national digital transformation.

According to the center representative, the “Digital Identification and Exhibition of Nguyen Dynasty Antiquities” solution marks a new step in applying digital technology to heritage conservation. Each antiquity is assigned a unique digital identifier, combined with 3D digitization technology and blockchain-based data storage, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and high security. At the same time, the online exhibition at museehue.vn applies VR/AR, metaverse, and physical interaction technologies, allowing the public to “step into” a vivid heritage space, transcending the limits of space and time.

From 10 pilot antiquities in 2024, the Center has now expanded digital identification to 98 antiquities across 10 digital exhibition rooms. Hue People’s Committee has also approved a plan to digitally identify nearly 1,000 antiquities in the next phase, aiming to build a comprehensive digital heritage ecosystem.

“We want each antiquity to not only be preserved in storage or in a museum, but to come alive in the digital space, reaching closer to the public,” a representative of the Center shared.

Previously, in 2024, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center had been awarded the Vietnam Digital Award for its Application of Digital Technology in the Conservation and Promotion of Hue’s Cultural Heritage Values. Being honored again this year affirms the unit’s efforts in bringing Hue’s Imperial Heritage into the digital era.
