On the morning of February 8th (the 11th day of At Ty Lunar New Year, 2025), Trieu Son Dong Village council, in collaboration with Trieu Son Dong neighbourhood group (Huong Vinh Ward, Phu Xuan District), organized the Traditional Boat Racing Festival. The event celebrated Hue’s transition to a centrally-governed municipality as well as the 578th Memorial Day of the Founding Ancestors of Trieu Son Dong Village, while provided a festive atmosphere for locals to enjoy the Lunar New Year.

(Banh tet is the symbolic food for Tet (the New Year Celebration).

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

After more than 20 years of waiting, the first restoration of an ancient rường house (beamed house) among 21 ones in Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Huong Vinh Ward, Hue City, began in early November 2024. The project aims to restore the house to its original Hue-style beam architecture, contributing to urban revitalization, and promoting tourism and services in Bao Vinh Ancient Town.

On the evenings of October 19 and 20, nearly 1,000 spectators gathered at the Song Huong Theater to immerse themselves in a music night themed “Hue Symphony - The Symphony of the Ancient Capital”. As part of their tour in Vietnam, the concert duo consisting of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann from Germany will perform a concert at the Song Huong Theater of Hue Academy of Music on the evening of September 5th.

The art exhibition featuring unique and eye-catching ceramic pieces opened on the afternoon of August 25th at Lan Vien Co Tich 2, pertaining to the Huong River Museum of Ancient Pottery (94 - 96 - 98 Bach Dang, Hue City).

After two months of launching, Vietnam's Piano Got Talent 2024 competition has received thousands of applications, and more than 400 contestants have passed the preliminary round to advance to the direct competition round at the Song Huong Theater - Hue Academy of Music (Hue City).
