Exciting 36th Hue City boat racing - 2025
HNN.VN - The 36th Hue City traditional boat racing - 2025 kicked off on the morning of September 2 on the North bank of the Huong River, about 300 meters from Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion towards Da Vien Bridge. The event was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and it also served as a competitive sport for the 10th Hue City Sports Festival - 2026.
The boat racing brought together nearly 500 male and female athletes from 10 teams, including: Trieu Son Dong (Hoa Chau Ward), Trieu Son Trung (Huong Tra Ward), Giap Trung (Kim Tra Ward), Van The (Thanh Thuy Ward), Thanh Ha (Kim Long Ward), Niem Pho (Quang Dien Commune), Co Gioi (Dan Dien Commune), An Dong (An Cuu Ward), Thuy Phu (Phu Bai Ward), and Thuan An Ward.
At the race, the teams competed in 10 race categories, including: 1 men's Cung race, 4 men's Tien races, 3 women's Tien races, 1 men's and women's Tien race, and 1 men's Pha race.
Despite changes in administrative boundaries and names, this event is a celebration of significant events of the country, and a competitive sport for the 10th Hue City Sports Festival - 2026. The teams were well-prepared in terms of strength, tactics, and competitive spirit, which led to exciting and dramatic performances for the spectators.
