On the evening of November 27th in Hanoi, Vietnam Women's Union organized the award ceremony for Vietnamese Women's Prize in 2022 and 2023. Thua Thien Hue boasts two individuals receiving the awards among the total of 19 outstanding individuals nationwide.

The memory of Ao dai in me is simply the image of my mother wearing an Ao dai, in a rush carrying a basket in one hand and hastily putting on a gray Ao dai with the other, getting ready to go to the market. And so, over time, the elegance of the Ao dai worn by Hue’s women, with its flowing silhouette, naturally became a part of me.

On the morning of May 1st, Hue City Women's Union, in collaboration with Hue City Labour Federation, Hue Youth Union, and Hue Sports and Culture Information Center, organized an event called “Ao Dai by the Perfume River.”

“When each face is a rose…” I do not know why I suddenly recalled that sentence from a song when I watched the performance of Ca Hue (Hue Singing) named “Women’s Voice from Inside” at the auditorium for Ca Hue at 25 Le Loi St.

On the night of March 6, Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced that they would offer free entrance ticket for female tourists wearing traditional Ao dai to visit relics on International Women’s Day.

The bronze mold is tarnished; the wooden one has some scratches on it due to harsh climate. However, those marks of time do not change the function of the molds. They are still attached to life, helping women preserve and spread their love of making Hue traditional cookies.
