Celebrating New Year with cancer patients

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 29, at the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital), volunteers from the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association organized a New Year's celebration for patients there.

The “One Painting - Many Hopes” project, which was launched in 2015, is a volunteer project at the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital). With their youthful energy and enthusiasm, the students and volunteers in Thua Thien Hue Province participating in the project have used paintings, photographs, and music as tools to motivate and spread strength to help elderly and pediatric patients battle cancer.

At the Volunteer Sunday activity No. 62 – “Flourish”, which was also the last Sunday of 2024, young volunteers, in collaboration with the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and Mat Troi Advertising Company, organized a year-end party for the patients, with snacks and a musical program.

Within the framework of the program, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and Mat Troi Advertising Company presented 300 gifts to patients being treated at the Oncology Center, including 50 special gifts for pediatric patients.

Also on this occasion, the founder of the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project, Mr. Ho Duong Dong (a lecturer at Da Nang University of Science and Technology) presented certificates to 10 outstanding volunteers who participated most actively in the project in 2024.
