Quiet yet full of love
HNN.VN - It was just another ordinary day at the Center for Nursing and Care for the Meritorious in Hue City - a place that welcomes revolution contributors, and policy beneficiaries each year. It is also a long-term home for dozens of war invalids, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs who have no one to rely on. The Center is currently caring for ten elderly women. Most of them live alone and have special circumstances, but here they are cared for with wholehearted attention and dedication.
When the request to film at the Center was made, Bao Chau, a reporter, was given full support by the Management Board, with one condition: to reschedule so that the old ladies would have time to change into their best uniforms! As a result, when they appeared on camera, the old ladies were not only neat and graceful in their uniforms but also deeply moving in their every smile and glance. Hoai Thuong, a journalist, after spending a day visiting the Center, was also touched and wrote: Everyone who comes to the Center carries a different life story, yet they share a common sense of loss and loneliness. In this special home, they are taken care of from each meal to each night's sleep, from every dose of medicine to every moment of affection shared like a big family. For the elderly women, this is home, a peaceful sanctuary for the rest of their lives.
In commemoration of the 78th Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, Hue Today Weekly proudly presents this photo story by reporter Bao Chau, set in a place full of gratitude and love, the Center for Nursing and Care for the Meritorious in Hue City.
