On the afternoon of August 20, Hue City Center for Culture, Information, and Sports in collaboration with the Colors of the Mekong Delta ART club opened a fine arts exhibition themed “Colors of the Mekong Delta” 2024.

More than 500 artists and performers from 17 art units representing 9 countries gathered at the International Dance Festival 2024, which opened on the evening of August 17 at the Thua Thien Hue Cultural and Cinematic Center (41A Hung Vuong, Hue City).

The International Dance Festival 2024, organized by the Department of Performing Arts (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, will take place from August 17 to 22 at the Provincial Center for Culture and Cinema (41A Hung Vuong Street, Hue City).

Emerging in the late 19th century and early 20th century, jazz quickly spread worldwide, becoming a genre that has attracted diverse cultures in various countries, regions, and communities. It has evolved into a popular art form, connecting with cinema, sports, literature, and many other disciplines. However, in Vietnam, the jazz-listening community remains quite small, lacking widespread venues for the general public. In Hue, jazz is particularly young, both in terms of its audience and the community of musicians who play it.

On the morning of August 8th, at the University of Arts, members of the Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association transported 66 artworks to Thanh Hoa province to participate in the zone IV Fine-Art Exhibition (Northern Central Vietnam) 2024.

In Hue's traditional gardens, jackfruit trees are often present as an obvious thing. Not simply a fruit tree, jackfruit is present in Hue's cultural life from cuisine, folk literature, fine arts, architecture to philosophy and religion.

About 40km north of Hue City, Phuoc Tich ancient village is located in Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district. This is the second village in Vietnam to be recognized as a National Artistic Architectural Monument in 2009.

On the afternoon of July 17, Song Huong Magazine and Truc Chi Vietnam Art Co., Ltd. jointly organized a painting exhibition with the theme "Giao Cua Mua – Cam On Mua He" (Season Changing – Thank You Summer) at Song Huong Magazine Editorial Office. (No. 9 Pham Hong Thai St., Hue City). Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee attended the exhibition.

That is the sharing of Tung Leo – the Show Director of the music night themed “Dialogue with Trinh Cong Son - Love Found”, which took place in the space of Kien Trung Palace, during the recent Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024. He added: “I am indebted to and enamored of Hue City. I hope that I can come back here many times to organize different music nights in various locations in Hue.”

On the afternoon of July 6, the art event "The Shape of Sound" was organized by the Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association in collaboration with Song Huong Magazine and the family of the late artist Vo Xuan Huy at 9 Pham Hong Thai St.
